Spread the love

Behind every success story, there is a fond memory of someone who inspired you!  Whether, it was a parent, family member, mentor or someone within the community the impact was meaningful.  I was blessed with two supportive parents that encouraged me to do my best, providing support and guidance along the way. I attended community college because I could not afford to attend a university and not many opportunities were presented.  As a single mother I worked two jobs and attended classes when I could, completing the degree became a challenge. With the support of a friend I applied for a job with the school board and met an amazing principle that made it possible for me to work full-time and attend classes.  She became my mentor helping me navigate through challenges and advocating for me along the way. I earned a degree in Early Childhood Education and later became a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten teacher.   It wasn’t until I had my own daughter and faced a traumatic experience, that I realized how crucial the proper guidance, education and support is for girls and young women.  I became passionate about helping and guiding others so I earned a degree in Human Services. I currently work with high risk families as a parent coach. Girls and young women need the support of positive role models, women who will inspire them with the belief in a better future.  They need women who will encourage them to follow their dreams and ambitions, reassuring girls and young women that their possibilities are endless.  Little Miss Proverbs 31 has the potential to create a positive platform for girls and young women. The “Seven Dimensions of Wellness” focuses on building self-esteem, teaching self- care, encouraging healthy lifestyles, promoting self-awareness while providing a safe and trusting environment. Guiding girls and young women to develop respect and belief in themselves contributes something most precious to the inner core of another human being. I am honored to be apart of such an inspiring organization and looking forward to helping girls and young women achieve the imaginable.
